Job Description
RAMS Consultant
Role Objective:
To undertake processes, perform analyses/assessments, produce reports, and general business activities associated with a technical consultancy, under the direction and supervision of a project manager or other relevant staff.
Specific Responsibilities:
- To apply industry knowledge and professional judgement in collating, analysing and synthesising appropriate information in line with industry standards and company procedures.
- To produce high quality, technically accurate analysis, reports, designs or other documents (e.g. 3D models, 2D drawings) in support of client projects within timescales and budgetary requirements
- To check and/or review the work of colleagues and provide constructive feedback as required.
- To review technical submissions from clients as required.
- To present specific technical information confidently to internal and external audiences.
- To provide support as required in business development activities, including contributing to proposals, and advise the appropriate manager of potential business opportunities identified.
- To contribute ideas and fully participate in team activities.
- To pursue continuous professional development in order to build experience and expand knowledge and expertise.
- Any other duties specific to the role as directed by Principal Consultant or Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security policies & procedures.
- Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health.
- Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.

Required Technical Competencies:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate science or engineering discipline that is eligible for Chartered status where applicable.
- Member (or eligible for membership) of a recognised professional institution (not applicable to Designers)
- Some relevant work experience required.
- IT literate - must be proficient in MS Office suite and appropriate specialist software, e.g. FEA, Dynamics, CAD
- Able to travel throughout the home country and possibly internationally in support of projects and business development.
- Prepared to undergo random drugs and alcohol testing and/or medical screening as required.
- Ability to prepare professionally presented, structured, and concise written business documents/drawings.
