Job Description

dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician as a remote position

 

Location:

  • Remote- Detroit, Las Vegas, Orlando, or West Coast region

 

Position overview:

  • Supervises lock installations 
  • Troubleshoots and checks functionality of equipment to evaluate system performance is operating correctly
  • Trains property personnel on systems
  • Configures and installs client workstations (encoders and software) in complex network set-up configurations
  • Assists property to get Property Management Systems (PMS) setup and PMS provider to establish an interface connection
  • Installs and changes all recalled products in the field
  • Establishes network setup with the IT Team of each property and assigns each IP address to a device
  • Installs the Company messenger system
  • Conducts pre-arrival calls and schedules site visits
  • Travels to beta sites for hardware and software issues and/or upgrades
  • Leads certified installers on projects and keeps trace of required resources and material
  • Gathers design information for technical support for property to get new configuration system
  • Arranges and confirms all travel itineraries with management and customers

Job Requirements

Education/Experience requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED (required)
  • 2-3 years of technical networking/troubleshooting experience
