Purpose

To assist in Rain’s ongoing work to document and improve water use in our facilities to further support Rain’s sustainability efforts by researching various projects identified to reuse/recycle water in the plants to lower water consumption and discharges to outfalls.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review water use and discharge data for the plants.
  • Work with plant staff to identify feasibility of various concepts.
  • Perform calculations on reduced water discharge and economics of the projects.
  • Investigate costs of installing proposed solutions.
  • Write scope of work for projects that can be used to bid out contract work if needed.
  • Present data to management.
Job Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a four-year university in an engineering discipline, process related focus preferred. While no prior work experience is required a high GPA is preferred.  
 
Requires skills in engineering fundaments and data analysis. Review operational data for the plants. Perform calculations on water use in various areas and economic impact of various solutions.
