dormakaba is hiring a Configuration Engineer in Reamstown, PA. The Configuration Engineer is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of product model configurations in relevant departments; teaching and assisting configuration data users to understand how the ERP system functions and depicts products from quoted order to receipts payable

Managerial and Coordination Requirements:

• Support and participate in product development work for assigned group(s).
• Coordinate changes to be made to configuration system and corresponding effects with related departments.
• Document the development and enhancement of configured models and actively assist others to successfully utilize the information.
• Operate the ERP system to accurately maintain and enhance the configuration system; consult with the vendor and/or internal IT to resolve issues as needed.
• Validate test models independently prior to model activation; perform data testing to support functions and scheduling.
• Analyze Bills of Materials, cost and price roll-up of configured items.
• Develop, review and certify correct product routings.
• Maintain current price lists and set up future pricing structures.
• Maintain current master files including; customer catalog, product master, inventory segment, and product structure.
• Facilitate instructional meetings and distribute published reference materials.
• Participate in LEAN engineering activities.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant business or technical discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• ERP and MS Office experience required.
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience in engineering, product management, inventory control, accounting.
• Experience working with ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance prefer

  Degree of Complexity / Degree of Freedom:
  High degree of complexity related to the development and testing of systems/components, and expectation to work closely with accounting/finance, engineering, operations, product management and customer service. Moderate degree of freedom to work within organizational and functional parameters.
