We are looking for a Senior Formwork Designer or a Formwork Designer to produce design solutions and material lists that represent the most efficient and safe use of Doka equipment for the site team. They provide technical assistance to the customer  from the preliminary stage of a project to its completion, in collaboration with the sales and operations personnel.

• Working with AutoCAD (& in future BIM/Revit software) to produce concept designs, approval general arrangement drawings and fully developed working drawings to include assembly and production drawings.
• Provides material lists for quotations and shipments to the site.
• Produces and ensures that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka formwork equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical and efficient designs.
• Develop solutions for a wide range of construction applications
• Produce calculations to verify the developed schemes, providing formal calculation reports when required.
• Ensures that the work is designed with available inventory and in accordance with the design brief.
• With experience, assist with technical coordination/project management of projects, collaborating with colleagues from other departments. Also, supervising other designers, taking engineering lead for projects and interacting with customers.

Other Responsibilities/Peripheral Functions:

• Participates in job site visits, identifies any improper implementation and can take action insuring corrective measures are immediately implemented.
• Assist with department development initiatives and support the training of future employees.
• Other duties/projects as assigned, such as participating in company committees/teams.

Anforderungen

• Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Structural or Mechanical engineering desirable.
• Formwork design experience preferred. Alternative experience in temporary works, i.e scaffolding or ground shoring, would be considered.
• Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
• Experienced in AutoCAD, knowledge of BIM/Revit would also be helpful, as well as computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing and able to learn new products, concepts and techniques.
• Organized team player able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
