Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

To lead the Performance Management team at our new Logistics Hub in Mantova, acting as Management level escalation contact for both adidas Stakeholders and 3PL. Accountable for all Performance Management related topics.

As an integral part of the European Supply Chain operation the Supply Chain Analysis Manager is supporting to ensure best in class service provided by the Campus South Hub service provider. Close alignment on a day-to-day basis with our external warehouse providers as well as internal stakeholder will ensure the achievement of our service level targets.

 

The Supply Chain Analysis Manager will ensure that our external providers have transparency about short and mid-term volume forecasts, creates visibility on any risks and define actions to overcome to ensure best in class service to our consumers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective team management and leadership of Performance Management team. Ensure sharing and reviewing of key business requirements and policies with the team and effective development of team skills and competencies.
  • Act as a deputy for 3PL Management colleagues, in case of absence.
  • Work as the main point of contact (especially in case of escalation) for the adidas DC service team, including Interface Management teams, working closely together to ensure communications to and from the DC are effective and issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.
  • Overall responsibility of all Performance Management / administrative tasks related to Campus South DC (especially in case of escalation or dispute) including:
    • Operational forecast (including deviation management) to optimize FC accuracy, supporting SLA achievement and minimizing cost impact.
    • DC service invoice approval, ensuring processes are in place with team regarding authorization levels / any value thresholds or dispute processes.
    • PO creation, approval, and maintenance to ensure dispute management and escalation policies are in place. Ensure 3PL replenishment process is fit for purpose and optimized from both a cost and risk of shortage perspective.
    • KPI validation and communication, working closely with 3PL counterpart and adidas stakeholders to resolve deviations versus targets (ensure timely communications to internal/external stakeholders)
    • SLA achievements and penalties; validate contractual SLAs with suppliers and ensure appropriate measures are administered and agreed with 3PL.
    • Reporting: accountability to ensure adidas standards are aligned with 3PL and necessary changes are actioned in a timely manner.
    • Accountability to ensure DC Data is available to measure and monitor KPI, Productivity, SLA, and throughput progress (in conjunction with 3PL). Develop and create meaningful dashboards and transparency on forecast, capacity, and progress. Ensure skill set is in place to enhance existing or create new reports in Excel, SCI, Power BI, and MicroStrategy etc.
  • Act as the lead Campus South Performance Management contact for partner departments to support their requests, including:
    • DC services, including operational forecasting etc.
    • Finance / Controlling for financial forecasting & annual budgeting process.
    • Accounting
  • Constantly and proactively improve the administrative processes for Campus South and benchmark against other 3PL setups and adidas DCs alike.
  • Share requirements of 3PL management team during 3PL/Logistic Projects from an administrative perspective plus support IT testing. Support teams proactively with best practice sharing

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Fluent in English; Italian (will be an advantage)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), knowledge of SAP AFS and WMS functions
  • Profound BI-tool knowledge (e.g. PowerBI), knowledge of data modelling
  • First knowledge on warehousing and logistics processes gained.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal/external business partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and end-to-end logistics / supply chain mindset
  • Reliable working style with a high sense of accountability

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • College or university degree with a focus on Transport/Logistics/Supply Chain preferred, alternatively equivalent combination of education and related work experience in the field of Logistics.
  • Min. 3 years progressive working experience within Transport/Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Leadership experience and development of teams would be ideal.
