Purpose

We are seeking a motivated individual to support the expansion of our Resins and Modifiers business in the North American region. The successful candidate will be responsible for key account management, catering to global and medium-sized companies operating within the adhesive, plastics, rubber, and coating industries.

Position Demands

The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in the chemical industry, preferably as a supplier to the adhesives, plastics, tire, or coating industry. Key account management skills and a proven track record in chemical industry sales are essential.

Previous experience in key account management or sales within the adhesive, plastics, rubber, or coating industries.
Proven ability to deliver on sales targets and drive business growth.
Strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise.
Excellent market analysis capabilities, including the ability to identify new opportunities and understand industry trends.
Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
Extensive experience in B2B business environment, with a strong preference for candidates from the chemical industry, particularly those who have supplied to the adhesives, plastics, tire, or coating industry.
Demonstrated success in key account management and achieving sales targets within the chemical industry.
Education: A degree in a commercial or technical discipline is required.
Technical, commercial, and chemical knowledge is highly valued.
Proven ability to cultivate and maintain high-level customer relationships.
Strong negotiation skills to drive successful outcomes.
A technical background in chemistry or experience in manufacturing consumer goods would be advantageous.
SAP experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and rapport-building with various stakeholders.
Confident and articulate presenter with the ability to convey technical and commercial information.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to facilitate successful business interactions.
Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work efficiently with multiple stakeholders.
Strong organizational abilities to manage and prioritize multiple activities, including sales calls, visits, reporting, forecasting, and more.
Pragmatic mindset with strong strategic thinking capabilities.
Proficiency in analyzing detailed data, extracting key business insights, and summarizing them effectively.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 60% of the time.


Duties & Responsibilities


Execute the sales operating plan for the region, focusing on both business maintenance and growth with existing accounts, as well as the acquisition of new customers.
Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
Cultivate strong and insightful relationships with current and prospective customers through regular visits.
Conduct sales negotiations and successfully conclude contracts with customers.
Maximize gross margin and sales volume by strategically setting prices, terms, product offerings, and product placement.
Contribute to the development and implementation of a reliable supply strategy, including effective warehousing solutions.
Participate in the formulation of the marketing strategy for the region, with a particular emphasis on conducting comprehensive market analyses of customers, competitors, new technologies, and market trends.
