Purpose

Assist in the development and implementation of CAPEX projects. Help define, plan, and execute technical aspects of projects. Prepare bid packages for construction, development, and engineering work. Projects may include calciners, material handling systems, plant utilities, plant and terminal infrastructure, and power generation. Coordinate work of other technical experts both Rain and contractors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Works closely with engineering team, plant operations, and other corporate functional departments. Learn to interface effectively with engineering firms, vendors, contractors, and outside consultants. Incorporate academic knowledge into industrial applications. Complete specified training criteria as required in Rain Carbon’s engineer development program.

Job Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a four-year university in Mechanical Engineering. While no prior work experience is required, a high GPA is preferred. Requires engineering fundamentals and a desire to develop a basic understanding of other engineering disciplines. This position requires multitasking, clear and precise verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management, and exposure to Microsoft Office programs. Experience with AutoCAD, reading engineering drawings, and project estimation skills is a plus. Travel 25%.
