Project Manager Due Diligence (m/f/d)

Your area of competence

  • To be responsible for the project management of insurance due diligence process, amongst others client assessment, report writing, data room review, Q&A sessions, and advisory on risk and insurance related issues, including transaction liability solutions (M&A insurance, such as W&I, LBO, etc.)
  • To manage high standard M&A DD projects and client contacts, both in writing and spoken
  • To demonstrate insurance expertise with an understanding of the financial markets including private equity and infrastructure investors, investment funds etc. and corporate investors
  • To communicate with clients using excellent language skills in English
  • To conduct project management work with short deadlines and strictly confidential information
  • To manage and update internal reporting systems on a regular basis
  • To interact with the broader team in Europe and internationally, in particular in the US including brokers, coverage/exposure experts, originators and client service teams as well as insurers
  • To support the Aon M&A business development team in managing client contacts as well as establishing own contacts to clients and prospects

Your profile

  • Solid market knowledge in both local and global insurance programms
  • Good specialist knowledge of market for M&A insurance solutions Understanding of contract law as relates to sale and purchase agreements (SPA) and insurance-related issues therein
  • Understanding of what regulated activities consist of, understanding of M&A procedures as well as insurance compliance issues (incl. IPT)
  • Excellent written – clear and concise – English
  • Experienced in meetings and client presentations; ability to explain complex (insurance) issues, simply and clearly
  • Coordinate activities and information flow from a group of people within a specified time frame
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of financial statements and financial environment
  • Apply insurance knowledge in M&A situations
  • Produce written reports and presentations (German and English)
  • Strong project management skills (particularly leading international project teams and “on-call” experts from the wider Aon organisation)
  • Expertise in further areas such as environmental, products liability and industry specific knowledge
  • Idealy a minimum of five years in-depth insurance experience or legal / consulting experience
  • Brokers license or willingness to obtain
