Purpose

Responsible for the operation, monitor and control of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), Steam Turbine Generator, associated Auxiliary Systems, and Electrical Systems used for the generation of electricity, increasing efficiency to minimize costs. Overall operations of all power-plant including Reverse Osmosis System, Demin Water System, Chemical Dosing System, Scrubber & Bag House. Other responsibilities include overseeing safe start up and shut down of power plant.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reports directly to the Operations Power Plant Manager and communicates with plant management, all employees, outside vendors and consultants.

• Safety - OSHA recordable, injury, and illness
• Environmental Control - Compliance with environmental permits
• Supervise the daily activities of operations staff and maintain a safety focused operation.
• Assist Maintenance with Annual Preventive Maintenance and Turn Around Maintenance schedules.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis of the problems and avoid recurrence by implementing suitable, remedial measures.
• Solves practical problems using available tools and resources
• Participates in continuous improvement of plant processes and performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

The position requires at least two years related training from college or vocational school in mechanical subjects; and 3-5 years of work with power plant boiler, turbine generator and their auxiliary systems. Preferred experience with power plant systems like boilers, deaerators, turbine generators and their auxiliary systems, feed water pumps, cooling water pumps, fans, roots blowers, compressors and air dryers. Water treatment Plant experience is also required. Must possess the ability to read and interpret Mechanical Cross-Sectional drawings, P&IDs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
