dormakaba is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Location:

• Huntsville, AL

Position overview:

• Prepares deliveries for customers according to scheduled time windows
• Secures the receiving and storage of incoming material
• Updates shipping papers in SAP and secure data accuracy
• Responds to customer inquiries and anticipate upcoming customer needs
• Interacts with customers to answer routine and non-routine inquiries
• Interacts with other departments to prevent material escalation
• Assists with the development of action plans to correct inventory inaccuracies
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with the shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Confirms the count of the product on each work ticket matches what is on the pallet
• Checks to see the product is labeled correctly
• Confirms in SAP that the product is complete
• Performs stock counts daily using the stand-alone inventory system
• Uses SAP to PGI outbound orders as well as routing freight
• Releases orders to the floor for outbound shipments

• Ability to read, write and understand English in a written and verbal format
• Capacity to train individuals
• Must be able to understand and perform basic math
• Maintain count records and data files
• Independent decision-making skills

Education and/or Experience Requirements 

• Forklift certified (required)
• Highschool diploma/equivalent (preferred)
