dormakaba is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)

Location:

• Huntsville, AL

Position overview:

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment, including emergency/unscheduled repairs
• Performs simple machinist duties and responsibilities
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, and tests/makes adjustments
• Performs plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Detects faulty operations and defective material that will need to be reported to proper supervisors
• Complies with safety regulations
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area
• Develops and implements cross-training procedures to improve overall productivity
• Other duties as assigned by management

Critical success factors:

• Ability to work independently and cooperate with other members of the team
• Knowledge of variable frequency drive controls
• Capacity to use maintenance measuring devices: tape measurer, micrometer, dial indicator, fluke meter, etc.
• Capable of checking parts for quality to make sure there are no defects
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience

Education/Experience requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (preferred)

• 4 + years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Forklift certified (or able to become forklift certified)
